In a surprising turn, Bill Belichick did not secure a coaching position in 2024. Instead, he will be spending ample time discussing football on camera.

Belichick is set to join the cast of Inside the NFL this season, alongside Ryan Clark, Chris Long, and Chad Johnson on the weekly CW show. True to his style, Belichick got straight to the point in the promotional announcement:

“Bill Belichick joining Inside the NFL is a game-changer for this esteemed franchise and The CW,” stated The CW Network president Dennis Miller. “Not only is he one of the most accomplished coaches in NFL history, but his unparalleled knowledge and passion for football will offer fans invaluable insights. With Bill, Ryan, Chad, and Chris on board, we anticipate delivering a championship-caliber show all season long.”

Belichick’s stint on The CW marks his return to the spotlight since parting ways with the Patriots earlier in 2024. He was seen during the 2024 NFL Draft coverage and made an appearance at Netflix’s Roast of Tom Brady.

Now, he returns to familiar ground: discussing the game he knows best with fellow pros.

“I’m excited to join the team at NFL Films and contribute to such a historic television program,” Belichick remarked in the statement. “I’ve always respected Inside the NFL for its in-depth analysis, and I look forward to bringing my insights to The CW, engaging in real football discussions with Ryan, Chris, and Chad this upcoming season.”

Belichick’s addition promises to enhance the already esteemed Inside the NFL, known for its insider perspectives from football’s finest. With the greatest coach in NFL history on board, the show’s reputation for depth and analysis is set to reach new heights.
